As Cleveland's most unique charitable event, the 2007 Cattle Baron's Ball, promises to be an evening of high energy and down-home fun at the Wolstein Center. Evening highlights will include an incredible live auction, casino gaming, entertainment by country music group Lawless and Texas-style cuisine.
First launched in Texas in the 1970s, the Cattle Baron's Ball brings a fresh twist to the charitable gala circuit and has proven to be a successful national model, raising millions of dollars each year. This volunteer-driven event is supported by some of the area's largest corporate and medical organizations.
The primary goal of the Cattle Baron's Ball is to raise funds for the American Cancer Society's national research program and local programs and services. Funds raised will help support research grants, educational programs for prevention and early detection, and direct services to cancer patients and their families. To date the American Cancer Society has invested $2.3 billion in cancer research and has funded 35 Nobel Laureates.
